LLC “BKP” (Container Freight Booking) is a customs broker — licensed specialists with expertise in laws and regulations governing international trade. Their primary mission is to help companies properly prepare documentation, pay customs duties, and ensure compliance with foreign trade legislation requirements.
No website existed; the client was generating leads manually via phone and email. No unified system, insufficient online forms for cost calculation and document upload, and minimal application processing automation.
Create a user-friendly corporate website with an online container shipping booking form, a tariff calculator, a customs document upload module, and CRM/messenger notification integration. Responsive design, security, and an intuitive admin panel for staff are mandatory.
Increase the flow of qualified leads, reduce manual staff work, and speed up document processing for clients. Make the website convenient for exporters/importers and visible in local and industry-specific search results.
- Small and medium business importers and exporters.
- Logistics managers and freight forwarders.
- Individual entrepreneurs needing one-time shipping and customs support.
Project workflow stages
Agree on goals, budget, and key requirements — which services need to be online (booking, calculator, document upload). Sign the brief and collect input materials: logo, tariffs, document samples, and contact persons.
Analyze competitors, popular niche queries, and typical client scenarios (price calculation -> booking -> document submission). Define feature priorities and KPIs (lead count, processing time).
Approve the sitemap and page set: homepage, services (shipping, customs, insurance), tariff calculator, client portal/application status, document upload form, FAQ, contacts. Define requirements for each form and integration (CRM, email, Telegram/WhatsApp).
Create wireframes for key pages and user flows: quick tariff calculation, application submission, document upload, and status tracking. Special focus on a mobile-first application flow within 1-2 screens.
Develop a clean corporate design in an appropriate palette (business, technical), with convenient typography and service icons. Prepare responsive mockups for desktop/tablet/mobile and email/auto-reply templates.
Code the site, connect CMS, implement the tariff calculator, booking form, document upload, and client portal. Integrate CRM/Telegram notifications, connect payment gateways as needed, and carrier/customs APIs (if required).
Upload texts, tariffs, client instructions, and document samples; optimize meta tags and local keywords (customs clearance, container shipping). Set up Google/Yandex analytics and conversion reports.
Test forms, file uploads, integrations, and security (SSL, validation, backups), then deploy to production. Train staff on the admin panel, set up monitoring, and agree on post-launch support and promotion.
Tasks and solutions
Create a recognizable visual identity.
Developed logo variations and a unified style — a strict corporate look with accents that carries across all pages and communications.
Select a trust-building color palette.
Introduced a business base palette (dark grey/graphite) with a contrasting accent (red) for CTAs and statuses, ensuring clear element hierarchy.
Increase the number of qualified leads.
Placed prominent CTA buttons and a simple form on the homepage, connected CRM and messenger notifications.
Simplify communication via messengers.
Added WhatsApp/Telegram widgets and a “Request a callback” button with preferred time selection.
Package services into clear cards.
Created cards with icons, brief descriptions, timeframes, and price highlights; cards adapt to grid and list layouts on smaller screens.
Make the interface dynamic and informative.
Added polished micro-interactions (tooltips, loaders, submission confirmations) and animated transitions without UX lag.
Simplify recurring orders and content editing.
Prepared design blocks and CMS templates (service cards, blog, news, documents) with limited options to prevent staff from breaking the style during editing.
