CJSC “D2D Logistics” provides a full range of services for organizing and customs clearance of commercial cargo shipments to various countries worldwide on a door-to-door basis.
The old website did not reflect the scale of the business or the company’s market position. The site structure was confusing, there was no way to calculate service costs, and the design did not meet modern standards. It had low search conversion, and advertising expenses were not paying off.
Develop a website with a clear structure, present all services, implement calculators, and create an English language version.
Develop a bilingual website for a transport and logistics company serving both Russian and international partners. Present all company services, showcase its experience and expertise. Allow users to calculate freight rates independently.

Tasks and solutions
Develop a website structure reflecting the company's operations
D2D Logistics handles multiple types of freight (sea, rail, road), including multimodal shipping, and also provides customs clearance, freight forwarding, and cargo insurance services, helping clients obtain certificates and declare products. Therefore, we faced the challenge of creating a clear and intuitive website structure so users would not get lost among the many services. We dedicated a separate page to each service. The company section was also split into several pages.
Provide comprehensive information: detailed descriptions of each service, route, and port
We prepared expert content on the specifics of each shipping method, transportation rules, customs control procedures, insurance claims, freight forwarder responsibilities, and more. We described each sea freight port in China, India, Turkey, UAE, Spain, and Italy. Routes were covered in detail. This provided users with valuable information while demonstrating the client company’s expertise.
Visualize geographic presence and routes
On the homepage, we placed a map with office locations in key countries worldwide, and on service pages — route maps to Novorossiysk. This visual approach simplifies information perception and captures attention.
Visualize geographic presence and routes
During the client briefing, it was decided to give website visitors the ability to calculate costs themselves. We developed a freight calculator for estimating costs based on the departure port and container type, along with a more advanced calculator for multimodal container shipping costs and a customs duties calculator.
Highlight advantages and differentiate from competitors
After analyzing the company’s operations, we identified its key competitive advantages.
Build user trust and emphasize company reliability
We placed several types of social proof:
- civil liability certificate and trademark registration
- team photos with employees’ positions, education, and work experience
- dedicated pages with client and partner logos
- a page with client recommendation letters, complete with seals and executive signatures
- all contact information, including office number and company details
Establish user engagement
To establish contact with potential clients, we implemented features such as a personal account on the website, convenient inquiry forms, and live chat.
Create a modern design
We created a unique design mockup — restrained and non-distracting from the site’s core theme. We used colors traditional for the logistics industry: teal and yellow, with red as the accent color. The font chosen is easy-to-read, sans-serif.
Ensure mobile and tablet versions
During front-end development, we paid great attention to adapting the site for all screen sizes. It displays correctly on any device.
Create an English language version
Since D2D Logistics is an international company, it was important to make the website accessible to partners from other countries. We translated the content into English.
Generate more traffic and retain visitors
We managed to improve the website’s search engine rankings for target keywords. To generate traffic, we launched a blog with topic-relevant articles, capturing related search queries. The bounce rate decreased, users began spending more time on the site, and pages-per-session increased.
Increase conversion and client flow
The ratio of page views to inquiry form submissions shifted toward more applications. The logistics company’s client base grew.
Results
We developed a high-quality product meeting all client requirements. The website reflects the scale of the business, with a logical and simple interface. Website traffic increased, and user behavioral metrics improved. Brand recognition grew and trust in the company strengthened. The website became an effective sales tool and communication channel with potential clients.
Ongoing support and advertising
Subsequently, we provided ongoing maintenance and technical support for the website. We wrote blog articles, analyzed traffic, built external links, created Yandex Direct ad copy, and set up targeted advertising campaigns.
